Vikki and I had a blast around Portland on Monday afternoon & Tuesday.
We visited a freight sale, the Portland Train Station, walked
with Al to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner - Vikki's 1st time, had a Zonie
lunch with Carole (burtrude) and did some sightseeing!

Here is Vikki enjoying that BIG hunk of chocolate! How many Points do you think? Here we are at the Portland Train Station. Vikki is a train buff so we had to go there! April 24, 2006 The Station Master was kind enough to pose with Vikki for a photo! He said it was his first time being asked. Al, Vikki & I walked to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. It was the 1st time for Vikki. 4 mile walk! April 24, 2006 Vikki found some nice railroad memorabilia at the train station. April 25, 2006 Today Vikki & I had lunch with Carole at Sweet Tomatoes & then did some sightseeing! April 25, 2006 Vikki & I visited the Clackamas County Histroy Museum which overlooks the Willamette River. April 25, 2006 Isn't Willamette Falls beautiful? We had quite the view. After a great breakfast at Shari's with LeRoy (he had to get home) we headed
to the Seaside on the Oregon Coast. Below you will also see all the flowers that
were in bloom in Portland - Vikki kept saying, "Wrong, wrong, wrong"
since they aren't blooming in Calgary yet!

Today we rode the Mt. Hood train. We had an OP picnic lunch at our stop in Parkdale, OR April 26, 2006 Of course we had to visit the gift shop. Vikki & I found the cutest train car earrings. April 26, 2006 We stopped at Multnomah Falls on the way home for some shopping and photos. April 26, 2006 There were so many apple blossoms! The train stopped right where we had our picnic lunch.
